Prepare a useful follow-up
Bring observations about movement, appetite, the wound and any changes since discharge. Ask what the next examination is intended to assess and when activity instructions may change. Contact the treating clinic promptly if recovery changes unexpectedly.

If your pet is in distress, cannot bear weight, has suffered trauma or is deteriorating rapidly, contact a local veterinary clinic. A public information enquiry cannot assess an emergency.
